Country Chandelier

Posted by Primitive Country on 18th Oct 2017

There is no better way to light a room, and create a cozy yet elegant design ambiance at the same time, than with a country chandelier. Country Living Primitives is America’s source for the most distinctive and affordable colonial, country, and rustic lighting items. We proudly offer a premier line of country lighting made with the finest quality wood, brass or copper materials.

Selection And Cost Are Important

Country Living Primitives carries an amazing selection of both wood and wrought iron chandeliers ranging in price from under one hundred fifty dollars to over one thousand, depending on the size, wattage, and materials. When installed with dimmers a country chandelier can serve to provide bright light to illuminate a lively gathering of friends, or dim to enhance an intimate dinner. Bright or dim, these chandeliers not only provide a focal point for any room’s décor, but provide the light to reflect off your beautiful wood, or show beautiful items on shelves and nooks.

Choosing The Right Country Chandelier For Your Room

When you walk into a room one of the first things you notice is a nice country chandelier. It sets the mood as it lights up the night; and even in the daytime, when light is not needed, it still provides a central point in the visual design of any room. Chandeliers are first and foremost light sources, so it is important to decide how much light each room requires, first by deciding if the chandelier is going to be the main light source, second by looking at the number and size of bulbs. Country Living Primitives provides some excellent ways to do this. As a guideline for how much light your room requires you can use this formula: room length x room width x 1.5 = Amount of Incandescent Wattage necessary. The size of a country chandelier is also important. While each room is different, here is a rule of thumb you can apply: for rooms 10’ x 10’ and smaller use a 17”-20” diameter chandelier; for rooms 12’ x 12’ a 20”–27” diameter chandelier is usually best; and a 14’ x 14’ room will accommodate a 24”-36” diameter chandelier.

Every country chandelier from Country Living Primitives is easy to install, and we provide many other helpful hints and guidelines. We want every customer to be completely satisfied with their purchases. All wooden chandeliers come with a minimum of 18” of chain and a hanging hardware and canopy set; while our wrought iron chandeliers come with all of the hardware needed to mount them, including 18' of chain and a ceiling plate.

Every room needs one or more light sources; let Country Living Primitives help you find the perfect country chandelier for your perfect country room.
