Essex Lanterns is an offshoot of the well-known Essex Forge. Essex Lanterns is again handcrafting the outside wall and post lanterns from the Essex Forge Collection. Each of their outdoor lanterns is a faithfully reproduced design of an original lantern that dotted the colonial homes around New England. The simplicity of these outdoor lanterns lends them to fit in any decorating scheme such as for the country cottage, the country chic home, the log home, the colonial home, the early American and even the more contemporary home. These outdoor lanterns are hand-wrought from solid copper, in the tradition of the early 18th century craftsmen.
